Abu Nuaim

Abu Nu'aim was a Shafi theologian and author of an Arabic history of saints.
==Life==
Abu Nu'aim was born in January 948 (Radjab 336 Hijra). He is most well known for his history of saints, ''Hilyat Al-Awliya Wa-Tabakat Al-Asfiya''. This historical book was made in five volumes by Ibn al-Djawzi, who renamed it ''Sifat Al-Safwa. Under this title it was revised again several times.
Nu'aim also wrote a book on tradition, called ''Tarikh Isfahan'', which means "History of Isfahan".
He died in October 1038 (Muharram 430 Hijra).
